CGAB 605 Environmental/Occupation Epidemiology (2 credits)
|
Course Description :
The course introduces the basic principles and
methods of epidemiology as well as elements of study design, data analysis and
interference in epidemiologic research. Problems of exposure and disease
definitions, time-dependent effects, confounding and misclassification will
be considered in the light of data sources typically available. The methods used
to characterize environmental and occupational exposures approaches for biologically
based exposure assessment methods to epidemiologic designs, biomarkers and their use
in molecular epidemiology will be covered. Relevant statistical methods will be introduced.
