CGAB 605  Environmental/Occupation Epidemiology (2 credits)


Course Description :
     The course introduces the basic principles and methods of epidemiology as well as elements of study design, data analysis and interference in epidemiologic research. Problems of exposure and disease definitions, time-dependent effects, confounding and misclassification will be considered in the light of data sources typically available. The methods used to characterize environmental and occupational exposures approaches for biologically based exposure assessment methods to epidemiologic designs, biomarkers and their use in molecular epidemiology will be covered. Relevant statistical methods will be introduced.
