Course Description :
The student thesis will cover research in different areas
of interest within the interface between Chemistry and Biology. The focus of research
may be in the investigations of the interactions between small molecules and molecular
targets, isolation and structure elucidation of natural compounds from plants, marine
organisms and fungi, drug discovery, as well as synthetic development of complex molecules
with bioactivities. Structure-activity relationships (SAR) and molecular modeling can
also be topics of Chemical Biology research. |
