Overview
The Chemical Biology Program emphasizes the interface
between Chemistry and Biology, as well as its potential applications for other fields.
It involves the study of interactions between small molecules and their possible
biological targets, the study of biological pathways using chemical tools, drug
delivery, as well as chemical understanding of disease states, in order to create
basic science knowledge for future drug discovery efforts.
The Program has been designed to train graduates to be capable
of initiating collaborations on new frontiers of research with a multidisciplinary
nature.
