CGET 612  Molecular Toxicology (3 credits)
Prerequisite: CGET501 Integrated Life Sciences or equivalent

Course Description :
     Molecular Toxicology will provide a mechanistic understanding of changes or sequence of changes at the molecular and subcellular levels with extrapolation to apparent toxicological effects as a result of exposure to toxic substances such as carcinogens. Studies on mechanisms of toxicity will cover a wide spectrum of interests from the basic to applied sciences. This course consists of the dynamics of chemicals in the organism and interaction with cellular components as well as the tenets of gene expression and toxicity.
