Research Interests
 

Prof. Dr. Prasat Kittakoop has focused on the isolation and characterization of bioactive natural products from plants, fungi, and Actinomycetes bacteria. He is interested in antiviral, antimycobacterial (anti-tuberculosis), antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, anticancer, and alpha-glucosidase inhibitory compounds, particularly antiviral agents against COVID-19 or SARS‑CoV‑2, please see, for example, International Journal of Biological Macromolecules 2024, 273, 133059. His interest also expands to medicinal chemistry and green chemistry (please see, for example, Angew. Chem. Int. Ed. 2016, 55, 3997-4001).
