Chulabhorn Graduate Institute held an event to uphold a fine Thai tradition of “Wai Kru” for 2024.

On Thursday 15 August 2024 at 10:00 AM, Chulabhorn Graduate Institute, in cooperation with the Student Club, held a Wai Kru ceremony for the 2024 academic year to provide the students with an opportunity to show their sense of gratitude to the instructors who have imparted knowledge to them. Performing this traditional duty is also believed to bestow on students a blessing on the auspicious occasion of the opening of a new semester. The Wai Khru ceremony was presided over by Professor Emeritus Dr. Somsak Ruchirawat, Rector of Chulabhorn Graduate Institute, who also gave an instructional address to the students. Accompanying him were the Institute’s administrators, including Associate Professor Dr. Piniti Ratananukul, Professor Emeritus Dr. Jisnuson Svasti, Professor Emeritus Dr. Piyarat Govitrapong, Associate Professor Dr. Jutamaad Satayavivad, the Institute’s faculty members, as well as its personnel. The event was held at the main auditorium on level 2 of the Chulabhorn Graduate Institute building.

The ceremony featured a representative of the students delivering a message showing respect to the teachers and anointment of textbooks. Then, Professor Emeritus Dr. Somsak Ruchirawat delivered his best wishes and instructional address to the students, who thereafter presented flower garlands to the Rector, the Institute’s administrators, and all faculty members. A group photo was taken to commemorate the event. The Wai Kru activity represents a commendable act to conserve and uphold a fine cultural tradition of the Thai people.

สถาบันบัณฑิตศึกษาจุฬาภรณ์ จัดกิจกรรม “ไหว้ครู” ปีการศึกษา 2567 เพื่อสืบสานวัฒนธรรมอันดีงาม

เมื่อวันพฤหัสบดีที่ 15 สิงหาคม 2567 เวลา 10.00 น. สถาบันบัณฑิตศึกษาจุฬาภรณ์ร่วมกับสโมสรนักศึกษาสถาบัน ได้จัดพิธีไหว้ครูประจำปีการศึกษา 2567 เพื่อแสดงความกตัญญูกตเวทิตาต่ออาจารย์ผู้ประสาทวิชาความรู้ให้แก่นักศึกษา ตลอดจนเพื่อความเป็นสิริมงคลในโอกาสเปิดภาคการศึกษาใหม่ ทั้งนี้ได้รับเกียรติจาก ศาสตราจารย์เกียรติคุณ ดร.สมศักดิ์ รุจิรวัฒน์ อธิการบดีสถาบันบัณฑิตศึกษาจุฬาภรณ์ เป็นประธานในพิธีพร้อมกล่าวให้โอวาท โดยมีคณะผู้บริหาร อาทิ รองศาสตราจารย์ ดร.พินิติ รตะนานุกูล ศาสตราจารย์เกียรติคุณ ดร. ม.ร.ว.ชิษณุสรร สวัสดิวัตน์ ศาสตราจารย์เกียรติคุณ ดร.ปิยะรัตน์ โกวิทตรพงศ์ รองศาสตราจารย์ ดร.จุฑามาศ สัตยวิวัฒน์ และคณาจารย์ประจำสถาบัน รวมทั้งบุคลากร เข้าร่วมพิธี ณ ห้องประชุมใหญ่ ชั้น 2 อาคารสถาบันบัณฑิตศึกษาจุฬาภรณ์

ภายในพิธีประกอบด้วยการกล่าวบูชาพระคุณครูโดยผู้แทนนักศึกษา และการเจิมหนังสือเรียน จากนั้น ศาสตราจารย์ ดร.สมศักดิ์ รุจิรวัฒน์ อธิการบดีได้กล่าวอวยพรพร้อมให้โอวาทแก่นักศึกษา และคณะนักศึกษาได้นำพวงมาลัยมอบแด่อธิการบดีและคณะผู้บริหาร ตลอดจนคณาจารย์ทุกท่าน จากนั้นถ่ายภาพหมู่ร่วมกันเพื่อเป็นที่ระลึก ทั้งนี้ กิจกรรมไหว้ครูนับเป็นการอนุรักษ์สืบสานศิลปวัฒนธรรมธรรมและประเพณีอันดีงามของไทยให้ยั่งยืนสืบไป
