Chulabhorn Graduate Institute organized a special event to promote spiritual cultivation through peaceful contemplation: “Amidst the tumultuous world…find relief in Dharma” under the Art and Culture Promotion Project on the occasion of Visakha Puja Day 2025

On Wednesday 7 May 2025 at 9:00-12:00 hours, Professor Emeritus Dr. Somsak Ruchirawat, Rector of Chulabhorn Graduate Institute, together with the Institute’s administrators, faculty members, and personnel, as well as the researchers and personnel of Chulabhorn Research Institute, participated in the event initiated to uphold Buddhism on the occasion of the 2025 Visakha Puja Day at the main auditorium on the second floor of the Chulabhorn Graduate Institute building. Initiated with the goal of promoting a spiritual cultivation through peaceful contemplation: “Amidst the tumultuous world…find relief in Dharma”, the event was associated with the Art and Culture Promotion Project on the occasion of the 2025 Visakha Puja Day. The main feature of the event was the delivery of lectures on Dharma by three Buddhist monks from the Uthai Saeng Dharma Retreat Center, Uthaithani province, who currently supervise more than 100 sāmaṇera or novices for the development of their concentration and meditation skills, to participants in the event. The lectures aimed to enable them to control their emotions and achieve peace in their minds by getting rid of the griefs resulting from the earthquake in the Bangkok Metropolitan Area, which has adversely affected the minds, emotions, and feelings of those who have received the earthquake news. Then, the participants numbering more than 60 were invited to engage in the practice of meditation, which consisted in considering Tilakkhaṇa, or the three characteristics of all things, namely, impermanence (anicca), suffering/stress (dukkha), and not-self (anattā). Understanding of such characteristics contributes to the achievement of awareness and concentration, which can be usefully applied to their activities in daily life and at workplace.

This event was organized as part of the art and culture promotion project in compliance with the Institute’s mission to uphold Thai art and culture. Such an event, which is open to participation by all its personnel, is also aimed to promote solidarity among the personnel at all levels. In addition, on this occasion, the Institute provided a donation box for the participants who wished to make their meritorious contributions, in the amount they wanted. The contributions would be donated to Uthai Saeng Dharma Retreat Center in support of their activities to uphold Buddhism.

สถาบันบัณฑิตศึกษาจุฬาภรณ์ จัดกิจกรรมเจริญภาวนาสมาธิ หัวข้อ “โลกสั่นไหว…เบาใจด้วยธรรมะ” ภายใต้โครงการส่งเสริมอนุรักษ์ศิลปวัฒนธรรม เนื่องในวันวิสาขบูชา ปี 2568

เมื่อวันพุธที่ 7 พฤษภาคม 2568 เวลา 09.00 – 12.00 น. ศาสตราจารย์เกียรติคุณ ดร.สมศักดิ์ รุจิรวัฒน์ อธิการบดีสถาบันบัณฑิตศึกษาจุฬาภรณ์ พร้อมด้วยผู้บริหาร คณาจารย์ และเจ้าหน้าที่สถาบันฯ ตลอดจนนักวิจัยและเจ้าหน้าที่สถาบันวิจัยจุฬาภรณ์ ได้เข้าร่วมกิจกรรมส่งเสริมพระพุทธศาสนาเนื่องในวันวิสาขบูชา ประจำปี 2568 ณ ห้องประชุมใหญ่ ชั้น 2 อาคารสถาบันบัณฑิตศึกษาจุฬาภรณ์ ซึ่งเป็นกิจกรรมเจริญสมาธิภาวนาสมาธิ หัวข้อ “โลกสั่นไหว…เบาใจด้วยธรรมะ” ภายใต้โครงการส่งเสริมอนุรักษ์ศิลปวัฒนธรรม เนื่องในวันวิสาขบูชา ปี 2568 โดยนิมนต์พระสงฆ์จากศูนย์ปฏิบัติธรรมอุทัยแสง จังหวัดอุทัยธานี จำนวน 3 รูป ซึ่งดูแลด้านการปฏิบัติเจริญภาวนาสมาธิ ของสามเณรกว่า 100 รูป มาบรรยายธรรมเพื่อให้ผู้เข้าร่วมกิจกรรมสามารถควบคุมอารมณ์ของตนเองให้เกิดความสงบในใจ เป็นการชำระจิตใจจากเครื่องเศร้าหมองอันเกิดจากเหตุการณ์แผ่นดินไหวในกรุงเทพมหานครและปริมณฑลที่ส่งผลกระทบต่อจิตใจ อารมณ์ และความรู้สึกของผู้รับรู้ข่าวสาร จากนั้น เป็นการนำผู้เข้าร่วมกิจกรรมกว่า 60 คน เข้าสู่การฝึกปฏิบัติเจริญภาวนาสมาธิอันเป็นการพิจารณาไตรลักษณ์ การเกิดขึ้น ตั้งอยู่ ดับไป ช่วยให้เกิดการตระหนักรู้และมีสมาธิ สามารถนำไปประยุกต์ใช้ในการทำงานและชีวิตประจำวันได้อย่างมีประสิทธิภาพ

กิจกรรมดังกล่าวเป็นส่วนหนึ่งของโครงการส่งเสริมอนุรักษ์ศิลปวัฒนธรรม ซึ่งสอดคล้องกับพันธกิจของสถาบันฯ ด้านการทำนุบำรุงศิลปวัฒนธรรมไทย โดยเปิดโอกาสให้บุคลากรจากหน่วยงานภายในได้เข้าร่วมกิจกรรมอันเป็นการเสริมสร้างความสามัคคีระหว่างบุคลากรทุกระดับ นอกจากนี้ สถาบันยังได้จัดกล่องรับบริจาคสำหรับผู้เข้าร่วมกิจกรรมที่ประสงค์ทำบุญตามกำลังศรัทธาเพื่อนำปัจจัยที่ได้รับทั้งหมดมอบศูนย์ปฏิบัติธรรมอุทัยแสงนำไปบำรุงพระพุทธศาสนาสืบต่อไป
