Loi Krathong festival

Chulabhorn Graduate Institute held the “Loi Krathong” festival on November 6, 2014, in order to preserve Thai culture, encourage local traditions and pay respect to the water spirits. This ancient Thai tradition takes place in the evening of the full moon of the twelfth month. Assoc. Prof. Dr.Thanuttkhul Mongkolaussavarat, Assistant Rector of CGI, officiated as the chair of the opening ceremony. Activities include lucky draw, sales of krathong made from natural sources and souvenirs from the CGI student union, and floating of krathong along the ponds surrounding the ground floor at the Chulabhorn Graduate Institute.
