On the 28th of May 2018 at 10.00 am, Professor Dr.Somsak Ruchirawat, Director of Chulabhorn Graduate Institute along with staff members and students held a religious reception to commemorate Vesak day. Members of the public were also welcomed to the event, which was held at the Chulabhorn Graudate Institute building, ground level. The abbot of Lak Si temple, Phra Rat Pipatnaporn, and five monks were invited to conduct the religious ceremony reciting chants. Food and other goods were offered to the yellow robe as a form of merit making.
The religious reception is part of the Chulabhorn Graudate Institute Cultural Hall Project, that aims to stimulate exchanges of social and cultural knowledge between staff members, students and guests. Additionally, the reception served as an event to conserve Buddhism and Thai cultural heritage.
