Vesak Day at Chulabhorn Graduate Institute

On the 17th of May 2019 at 10:00 am, Associate Professor Dr. Thanuttkhul Mongkolaussavarat, Assistant Rector of Chulabhorn Graduate Institute (CGI), along with the academic staff members and administrative team hosted a religious reception to commemorate Vesak day 2019 on the first floor of CGI building. The assistant to the abbot of Lak Si Temple, Phra Aram Luang, was invited to preach on the topic “Work efficiently with strong consciousness” that can be applied in everyone’s daily routine. In Buddhism, monks are often invited to preach to strengthen one’s spirit as a way to enlighten the minds to release sorrow and pain.

The religious reception is part of the Chulabhorn Graudate Institute Cultural Hall Project under the Chulabhorn Royal Academy (CRA) Thai Cultural Heritage program that aim to stimulate exchanges of social and cultural knowledge between CRA staff members, students and guests. Additionally, the reception served as an event to conserve Buddhism and Thai cultural heritage. Donation was encouraged as a way to make merit. The donation will be offered to Wat Phrabat Nam Phu.
