On Friday 30 October 2020 at 11:00 AM Chulabhorn Graduate Institute (CGI) held a Loy Krathong activity – an annual traditional festival of floating cups made from banana leaves to pay respect to Water Goddess and wash away troubles and evil influences. Presided over by CGI Rector Professor Emeritus Dr. Somsak Ruchirarat, the event was organized under the concept “CGI Loy Krathong Distancing”. Several CGI administrators, including Associate Professor Dr. Thanuttkhul Mongkolaussavarat, Assistant Rector, Professor Emeritus Dr. Piyarat Govitrapong, Director of the Applied Biological Sciences Program, and Mrs. Panida Fangtham, Director of the Institutional Bureau, attended the event, together with many students and faculty members, at the pond on the multipurpose ground of the CGI building. The event attracted the interest of the CGI and Chulabhorn Royal Academy personnel, as well as members of the general public, who came to join its activities.
Organized to support CGI’s art and culture mission, the event featured many activities, such as the Student Club’s ‘pulling down lucky stars’ booth, photo-taking and souvenir booths, and many others. Snacks and beverages were available to participants all through the event.
เมื่อวันศุกร์ที่ 30 ตุลาคม 2563 เวลา 11.00 น. สถาบันบัณฑิตศึกษาจุฬาภรณ์จัดโครงการ ลอยกระทง ประจำปี 2563 ภายใต้แนวคิด “ลอยกระทงห่างๆ อย่างห่วงๆ” (CGI Loy Krathong Distancing) โดยมี ศาสตราจารย์เกียรติคุณ ดร.สมศักดิ์ รุจิรวัฒน์ อธิการบดีสถาบันบัณฑิตศึกษาจุฬาภรณ์ เป็นประธาน พร้อมด้วยคณะผู้บริหาร อาทิ รองศาสตราจารย์ ดร.ธณัฏฐ์คุณ มงคลอัศวรัตน์ ผู้ช่วยอธิการบดีสถาบันบัณฑิตศึกษา จุฬาภรณ์ ศาสตราจารย์เกียรติคุณ ดร.ปิยะรัตน์ โกวิทตรพงศ์ ประธานสาขาวิทยาศาสตร์ชีวภาพประยุกต์ นางพนิดา ฟังธรรม ผู้อำนวยการสำนักงานสถาบัน รวมทั้งคณาจารย์ และนักศึกษาสถาบัน เข้าร่วมโครงการ ณ บริเวณสระน้ำลานอเนกประสงค์ อาคารสถาบันบัณฑิตศึกษาจุฬาภรณ์ นอกจากนี้ยังได้รับความสนใจจากบุคลากรสถาบันวิจัยจุฬาภรณ์ และราชวิทยาลัยจุฬาภรณ์ ตลอดจนบุคคลภายนอก เข้าร่วมโครงการลอยกระทงของสถาบันอีกด้วย
โครงการดังกล่าวจัดขึ้นเพื่อตอบสนองพันธกิจด้านการทำนุบำรุงศิลปวัฒนธรรม ภายในงานประกอบด้วยกิจกรรมต่างๆ เช่น ซุ้มสอยดาวของสโมสรนักศึกษาสถาบัน ซุ้มถ่ายภาพและของที่ระลึก และอื่นๆอีกมากมาย โดยมีอาหารว่างและเครื่องดื่มไว้รองรับผู้ร่วมกิจกรรมตลอดงาน
