Research Interests:

Many countries in the world particularly in Thailand are becoming a full-fledged in aging society. Aging is associated with a progressive degeneration of tissues and organs that is the major risk for chronic diseases, including neurodegenerative and cardiovascular diseases, and cancers. In addition, accumulating reactive oxygen species and oxidative stress in the elderly induces damage of macromolecules such as lipids, DNA, and proteins that can cause of diseases. Nowadays, finding ways to treat aging-associated diseases is an attractive research field for scientists.

Consequently, I am interested in studying about novel biomarkers and treatment targets for aging-associated diseases. My research focuses on the investigation of effect of medicinal herbs and plants contained a potent antioxidant activity as well as novel drugs on the prevention and treatment of aging-related diseases. Finally, either antioxidant compounds or innovative drugs might be used as a new pharmacological intervention to ameliorate the diseases in the aged population.
