CGET 604 Molecular Biology of Environmental Stress (3 credits)

CGET 501 Integrated Life Sciences or equivalent

The course presents advanced information regarding stress protective mechanisms at both genetic and cellular levels in prokaryotic and eukaryotic cells. The activation of the stress response and adaptive and repair responses at the level of gene expression will be covered. Implications of these proteins in biology and medicine will also be discussed.
