CGET 614 Immunotoxicology (2 credits)

CGET 501 Integrated Life Sciences or equivalent

Course Description:

This course provides an overview of basic concepts in immunology (structure, components, and functions), which are essential for the understanding of the negative impact of environmental toxicants on the immune functions. The selected current methods utilized to assess immune function, and review of current information on the immunomodulation (immuno-suppression, hypersensitivity and autoimmunity) induced by a variety of xenobiotics will be covered.
