CGET 618 Aquatic Toxicology (2 credits)

CGET 501 Integrated Life Sciences or equivalent

Course Description:

This course covers the properties and fates of specific groups of toxicants in aquatic environments, including their distribution, bioaccumulation and biomagnification in the aquatic environment, the biological effects associated with those contaminants, the mechanisms of response in aquatic organisms, and toxicological assessment through aquatic toxicity testing, including methods for determining population and community effects.
