Chulabhorn Graduate Institute initiated a charity activity of Tod Pha Pa Sammakki and release of fish at Wat Surat Rangsan, Pathum Thani Province

On Friday 2 June 2023 at 08:45-10:30 AM, Chulabhorn Graduate Institute organized a charitable activity of Tod Pha Pa Sammakki – or the merit-making activity of presenting robes to Buddhist monks – and a release of fish at Wat Surat Rangsan in Pathum Thani province. Kindly presided over by Assoc. Prof. Dr.Thanuttkhul Mongkolaussavarat, Assistant Rector of the Institute, with the participation of the staff and students, the event consisted in presenting Pha Pa or the Buddhist monk robes, to Phra Samuh Chakkrit Suddhi Mano, abbot of Wat Surat Rangsan, together with donations that had been collected for the promotion of Buddhism in accordance with the temple’s objectives. Moreover, the participants in the event joined in releasing fish at Wat Surat Rangsan’s pier (Wang Pla Na Wat or fish shoal in front of the temple). The release of fish is a charitable activity of cultivating the merit of generosity as a Buddhist principle.

This charitable activity of Tod Pha Pa Sammakki and release of fish was part of the promotion and conservation of culture project, in conformity with the art and culture maintenance mission. The purpose was to enhance awareness the fine culture and tradition of Thailand.

เมื่อวันศุกร์ที่ 2 มิถุนายน 2566 เวลา 08.45. -10.30 น. สถาบันบัณฑิตศึกษาจุฬาภรณ์ ได้จัดกิจกรรมทอดผ้าป่าสามัคคีและปล่อยปลา ณ วัดสุราษฎร์รังสรรค์ จ.ปทุมธานี โดยรองศาสตราจารย์ ดร.ธณัฏฐ์คุณ มงคลอัศวรัตน์ ผู้ช่วยอธิการบดีสถาบันบัณฑิตศึกษาจุฬาภรณ์ ให้เกียรติเป็นประธานในพิธี พร้อมด้วยคณะเจ้าหน้าที่ และนักศึกษาสถาบันบัณฑิตศึกษาจุฬาภรณ์ ร่วมกันถวายผ้าป่าสามัคคีแด่พระสมุห์จักรกฤษ สุทธิมโน เจ้าอาวาสวัดสุราษฎร์รังสรรค์ เพื่อนำปัจจัยที่ได้รับจากการบริจาคไปบำรุงพุทธศาสนาตามวัตถุประสงค์ของวัดต่อไป นอกจากนี้ คณะผู้เข้าร่วมกิจกรรมยังได้ร่วมกันปล่อยปลา ณ บริเวณท่าน้ำ (วังปลาหน้าวัด) วัดสุราษฎร์รังสรรค์ อันเป็นการช่วยเหลือชีวิตสร้างทานบารมีตามหลักทางพระพุทธศาสนา

การจัดกิจกรรมทอดผ้าป่าสามัคคีและปล่อยปลา นับเป็นส่วนหนึ่งของโครงการส่งเสริมอนุรักษ์วัฒนธรรม เพื่อให้สอดคล้องกับพันธกิจด้านการทำนุบำรุงศิลปวัฒนธรรมและส่งเสริมให้เกิดความตระหนักถึงวัฒนธรรมประเพณีไทยอันดีงาม
