Chulabhorn Graduate Institute held an event to uphold a fine Thai tradition of “Wai Kru”

On Thursday 7 September 2023 at 14:00 PM, Chulabhorn Graduate Institute, in cooperation with the Student Club, held a Wai Kru ceremony for the 2023 academic year. Representing a fine tradition of students showing their sense of gratitude to the teachers who impart knowledge to them, the ceremony is also believed to bestow on students a blessing on the auspicious occasion of the opening of a new semester. Taking place at the main auditorium on level 2 of the Chulabhorn Graduate Institute building, the event was presided over by Associate Professor Dr. Dr. Piniti Ratananukul, Vice Rector of Chulabhorn Graduate Institute, in the company of the Institute administrators, faculty members, and personnel of the Institute.

The ceremony featured a representative of the students delivering a message showing respect to the teachers, and the administrative team of each academic program anointing textbooks. Then, the master of the ceremony invited Professor Dr. John M. Essigmann, the Institute’s adjunct professor, to give his best wishes to the students, who thereafter presented flower garlands to the Vice-Rector and all faculty members. A group photo was taken to commemorate the event.

The Wai Kru activity represents a commendable effort to conserve and uphold a fine cultural tradition of the Thai people, and Chulabhorn Graduate Institute organizes it as part of its art and culture promotion mission.

สถาบันบัณฑิตศึกษาจุฬาภรณ์ ร่วมสืบสานวัฒนธรรมอันดีงามเนื่องในโอกาสวันไหว้ครู

เมื่อวันพฤหัสบดีที่ 7 กันยายน 2566 เวลา 14.00 น. สถาบันบัณฑิตศึกษาจุฬาภรณ์ร่วมกับสโมสรนักศึกษาสถาบัน ได้จัดพิธีไหว้ครูประจำปีการศึกษา 2566 เพื่อแสดงความกตัญญูกตเวทีต่ออาจารย์ผู้ประสาทวิชาการความรู้ และเพื่อความเป็นสิริมงคลในโอกาสเปิดภาคการศึกษาใหม่ ทั้งนี้ ได้รับเกียรติจาก รองศาสตราจารย์ ดร.พินิติ รตะนานุกูล รองอธิการบดีสถาบันบัณฑิตศึกษาจุฬาภรณ์ เป็นประธานกล่าวเปิดพิธี พร้อมด้วยคณะผู้บริหาร คณาจารย์ประจำ และบุคลากรเข้าร่วมพิธี ณ ห้องประชุมใหญ่ ชั้น 2 อาคารสถาบันบัณฑิตศึกษาจุฬาภรณ์

ภายในพิธีประกอบด้วยการกล่าวบูชาพระคุณครูโดยผู้แทนนักศึกษา และผู้บริหารแต่ละสาขาได้ทำการเจิมหนังสือเรียน จากนั้นพิธีกรกล่าวเชิญ Prof. Dr. John M Essigmann อาจารย์พิเศษประจำสถาบันฯ กล่าวอวยพรแก่นักศึกษา คณะนักศึกษาได้นำพวงมาลัยมอบแด่ประธานฯ และคณาจารย์ผู้เข้าร่วมพิธีทุกท่าน พร้อมถ่ายภาพหมู่ร่วมกันเพื่อเป็นที่ระลึก

อนึ่ง กิจกรรมไหว้ครูนับเป็นการอนุรักษ์และสืบสานวัฒนธรรมอันดีงามของไทยให้ยั่งยืนสืบไป ดังพันธกิจของสถาบันในการทำนุบำรุงศิลปะและวัฒนธรรมของชาติ
