Signing ceremony of cooperation agreement with four main institutions on the production and development of medical personnel under the Two-Degree Doctor of Medicine and Graduate Study Program

Her Royal Highness Professor Dr. Princess Chulabhorn Krom Phra Srisavangavadhana graciously went to participate in the signing ceremony of cooperation agreement between Chulabhorn Royal Academy and four other institutions, namely, Kasetsart University, Mahidol University, Chulabhorn Research Institute, and Chulabhorn Graduate Institute, at Thip Phiman Palace in Pak Chong District, Nakhon Ratchasima Province, on Friday 15 December 2023, at 1:30 PM.

Given her outstanding expertise and far-sightedness, Her Royal Highness Professor Dr. Princess Chulabhorn Krom Phra Srisavangavadhana has aspired to produce and develop medical graduates and personnel with knowledge and skills in medical and other disciplines. The seven-year Two-Degree Doctor of Medicine Program of Princess Srisavangavadhana College of Medicine, Chulabhorn Royal Academy, is aimed to produce MD graduates well-equipped with knowledge and expertise in professional medical discipline and other areas of specialization, which can be applied for professional and social development purposes. The “Two-Degree Doctor of Medicine and Graduate Study Program was initiated in response to the aspiration of Her Royal Highness Professor Dr. Princess Chulabhorn Krom Phra Srisavangavadhana, and with a view to forging cooperation with four main institutions, which include Kasetsart University, Mahidol University, Chulabhorn Research Institute, and Chulabhorn Graduate Institute. These institutions will cooperate in, and provide support for, the incorporation of specific courses on offer in the graduate programs of their various faculties into the delivery of the MD program of Princess Srisavangavadhana College of Medicine in its fourth year. At the initial stage, these graduate courses are drawn from those of Kasetsart University’s Faculty of Science and Business School, Faculty of Medicine Ramathibodi Hospital’s College of Sports Science and Technology, Mahidol University’s Faculty of Engineering, Chulabhorn Graduate Institute’s Environmental Toxicology International Program, and the Master of Science Program in Digital Mental Health of Princess Srisavangavadhana College of Medicine. Chulabhorn Research Institute also provides support to this MD Program in the form of researchers and use of its laboratories. Students who have completed this Program will be accorded two degrees, namely, a Doctor of Medicine degree of Chulabhorn Royal Academy and a bachelor degree in the program they have enrolled in.

ศาสตราจารย์ ดร. สมเด็จพระเจ้าน้องนางเธอ เจ้าฟ้าจุฬาภรณวลัยลักษณ์ อัครราชกุมารี กรมพระศรีสวางควัฒน วรขัตติยราชนารี เสด็จไปในพิธีลงพระนามและลงนามบันทึกข้อตกลงความร่วมมือระหว่าง ราชวิทยาลัยจุฬาภรณ์ กับ มหาวิทยาลัยเกษตรศาสตร์ มหาวิทยาลัยมหิดล สถาบันวิจัยจุฬาภรณ์ และสถาบันบัณฑิตศึกษาจุฬาภรณ์ ณ ตำหนักทิพย์พิมาน อ.ปากช่อง จ.นครราชสีมา เมื่อวันศุกร์ที่ ๑๕ ธันวาคม ๒๕๖๖ เวลา ๑๓.๓๐ น.

ด้วยพระปรีชาสามารถและพระวิสัยทัศน์อันกว้างไกลที่ทรงมุ่งมั่นสร้างบัณฑิตและพัฒนาบุคลากรทางการแพทย์ที่มีความเป็นเลิศ มีความรู้และทักษะทางการแพทย์ในวิชาชีพแพทย์และศาสตร์อื่นๆ หลักสูตรแพทยศาสตรบัณฑิต หลักสูตร ๗ ปี ๒ ปริญญา ของวิทยาลัยแพทยศาสตร์ศรีสวางควัฒน ราชวิทยาลัยจุฬาภรณ์ จึงมีความมุ่งมั่นที่จะผลิตบัณฑิตแพทย์ที่มีความรู้ความสามารถทางวิชาชีพตลอดจนทักษะทางด้านการวิจัย นวัตกรรม ควบกับศาสตร์ด้านอื่นๆ ที่เป็นประโยชน์ต่อการประกอบวิชาชีพแพทย์ที่สามารถนำไปประยุกต์เพื่อรับใช้และพัฒนาสังคมให้ดียิ่งขึ้นไป เพื่อสนองพระปณิธาน และก่อให้เกิดความร่วมมือจาก ๔ สถาบันหลักใน “โครงการหลักสูตรแพทยศาสตรบันฑิตควบคู่กับหลักสูตรระดับบัณฑิตศึกษา” โดยมีมหาวิทยาลัยเกษตรศาสตร์ มหาวิทยาลัยมหิดล สถาบันวิจัยจุฬาภรณ์ และสถาบันบัณฑิตศึกษาจุฬาภรณ์ ให้ความร่วมมือ สนับสนุน และส่งเสริมการนำสาขาวิชาที่เปิดการเรียนการสอนในระดับบัณฑิตศึกษาของคณะต่างๆ ไปเป็นสาขาวิชาควบให้กับนักศึกษาหลักสูตรแพทยศาสตรบัณฑิต ชั้นปีที่ ๔ วิทยาลัยแพทยศาสตร์ศรีสวางควัฒน โดยระยะแรกจะมีจำนวน ๘ สาขาวิชา จากคณะวิทยาศาสตร์ ของมหาวิทยาลัยเกษตรศาสตร์ และวิทยาลัยการจัดการ คณะแพทยศาสตร์โรงพยาบาลรามาธิบดี วิทยาลัยวิทยาศาสตร์และเทคโนโลยีการกีฬา และ คณะวิศวกรรมศาสตร์ ของมหาวิทยาลัยมหิดล รวมทั้งหลักสูตรนานาชาติ สาขาพิษวิทยาสิ่งแวดล้อม ของสถาบันบัณฑิตศึกษาจุฬาภรณ์ และหลักสูตรวิทยาศาสตรมหาบัณฑิต สาขาวิชาสุขภาพดิจิทัล ของวิทยาลัยแพทยศาสตร์ศรีสวางควัฒน โดยมีสถาบันวิจัยจุฬาภรณ์ยินดีให้ความร่วมมือสนับสนุนนักวิจัย ห้องปฏิบัติการวิจัย ให้กับการเรียนการสอนหลักสูตรแพทยศาสตรบัณฑิต ของวิทยาลัยแพทยศาสตร์ศรีสวางควัฒน ทั้งนี้ เมื่อนักศึกษาแพทย์สำเร็จการศึกษาจะได้รับปริญญาแพทยศาสตรบัณฑิตจากราชวิทยาลัยจุฬาภรณ์ และปริญญาระดับบัณฑิตศึกษาจากสถาบันตามหลักสูตรที่เลือกเรียนอีก ๑ ปริญญา รวมเป็น ๒ ปริญญา
