Chulabhorn Graduate Institute held a workshop on “Basic Fire Fighting 2014” on March 20, 2014 for staff and students. On the opening workshop Assoc. Prof. Dr.Thanuttkhul Mongkolaussavarat, Assistant Rector of CGI, welcomed all the participants and speakers from Bang Khen fire station-acting sub Lt.Noppavit Pidkatok, and his team.
The workshop had both theoretical and practical lessons. The theoretical part comprised giving knowledge of the components of fire, types of fire, and classification of fire. Additionally, participants were shown the methods to use fire extinguishers, throughout fire prevention and fire extinguishing, victim assistance and how to move patients. The practical training involved the participants putting out fires from gas and oil. The workshop aimed to prevent all damage that may occur and instruct participants on how to put out fires.
