CGI  Photo Tour shows the Home of the Institute since the time the foundation stone was laid by Her Royal Highness Princess Chulabhorn in 2007
until now that the Institute has operated near to the full capacity.

Inspired by a quote from Anne Trafton, MIT News Office. May 24, 2011 “What makes an image memorable? Hint: We tend to remember pictures of people much better than wide open spaces.”…
“Next time you go on vacation, you may want to think twice before shooting hundreds of photos of that scenic mountain or lake.”
“A new study from MIT neuroscientists shows that the most memorable photos are those that contain people, followed by static indoor scenes and human-scale objects. Landscapes?
They may be beautiful, but they are, in most cases, utterly forgettable.”

“I am pleased to preside at this first Graduation Convocation Ceremony of the Chulabhorn Graduate Institute, and I appreciate the dedication of the members of the Council, the CGI Administration, Academic and other committee members, as well as the faculty who have carried out the work of the Institute to the best of their abilities, in line with my aim for the development of high-level human resources in the areas of science and technology who will be instrumental in leading the sustainable development of the country, and indeed the region.

I would also like to thank, particularly for the participation of faculty members of the world renowned Massachusetts Institute of Technology (USA), who assist in the curriculum development and the successful implementation of our graduate program. I also appreciate the participation of visiting faculty from Johns Hopkins University, Dartmouth University, New York University Medical School, Utrecht University (the Netherlands), and Aarhus University (Denmark), in our teaching and research programs, giving students the most up-to-date knowledge and research experience available.

I take this opportunity to congratulate all graduates on their success. You are all extremely important researchers and scientists, and thus should be proud, while at the same time aware of your responsibilities, both to yourselves, as well as to your respective nations. Graduates are the most important of human resources for the country, and you are expected to lead the development of the country towards competitiveness in the international arena, as well as economic stability. You should not only use the knowledge and experience gained here in your professional lives, but you should also do so ethically. You should show leadership, maintain your thirst for knowledge, and remain loyal to those who have given you the chance to be what you are today. You should also remain cognizant of the fact that whatever you do will reflect on the name of the Institute. Your personal or professional success will bring good reputation to the Institute and, indeed, the country. I hope that all graduates will make the vision of our Institute, “Producing Future Leaders in Science and Technology” a reality.
