On 12 February 2020, at 3:00 PM, Professor Emeritus Dr. Somsak Ruchirawat, Rector of Chulabhorn Graduate Institute, presided over a ceremony of asking for forgiveness and permission to take leave (of parents, relatives, friends, and superiors) for the persons who were about to participate in group ordination [it is a Thai tradition for those intending to enter the monkhood to take such actions] and observance of the Buddhist precepts as meritorious actions to be devoted to Her Royal Highness Professor Dr. Princess Chulabhorn Krom Phra Srisavabgavadaha. The ceremony was held at the level-3 lecture room of the Chulabhorn Graduate Institute Building and attended by Associate Professor Dr. Piniti Ratananukul, Vice Rector of Chulabhorn Graduate Institute; Professor Emeritus Piyarat Govitrapong, Head of the Applied Biological Sciences Program; and Mrs. Panida Fangtham, Director of the Administration Office. Led by the Rector, the administrators of the Institute performed the ritual of clipping the hair the six persons who were intending to enter the monkhood prior to the shaving of their heads, while Associate Professor Dr. Thanuttkhul Mongkolaussavarat), Assistant Rector of Chulabhorn Gratuate Institute, cited the messages asking for forgiveness and permission to take leave and presented a footed tray holding four pairs of candles and joss-sticks to the administrators of the Institute as a symbol of requesting forgiveness.
Then, the administrators made statements granting forgiveness as well as rejoicing in their meritorious intentions before traveling to India and the Federal Democratic Republic of Nepal to take part in the group ordination ceremony of the six persons to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the founding of Chulabhorn Hospital on 15-23 February 2020.
เมื่อวันพุธที่ 12 กุมภาพันธ์ 2563 เวลา 15.00 น. ศาสตราจารย์เกียรติคุณ ดร.สมศักดิ์ รุจิรวัฒน์ อธิการบดีสถาบันบัณฑิตศึกษาจุฬาภรณ์ เป็นประธานในพิธีขอขมาลาอุปสมบทหมู่และปฏิบัติธรรม ถวายเป็นพระกุศล ศาสตราจารย์ ดร.สมเด็จพระเจ้าน้องนางเธอ เจ้าฟ้าจุฬาภรณวลัยลักษณ์ อัครราชกุมารี กรมพระศรีสวางควัฒน วรขัตติยราชนารี ณ ห้องบรรยายชั้น 3 อาคารสถาบันบัณฑิตศึกษาจุฬาภรณ์ พร้อมด้วย รองศาสตราจารย์ ดร.พินิติ รตะนานุกูล รองอธิการบดีสถาบันบัณฑิตศึกษาจุฬาภรณ์ ศาสตราจารย์เกียรติคุณ ดร.ปิยะรัตน์ โกวิทตรพงศ์ ประธานสาขาวิทยาศาสตร์ชีวภาพประยุกต์ และนางพนิดา ฟังธรรม ผู้อำนวยการสำนักงานสถาบัน เป็นผู้ขลิบปอยผมของผู้อุปสมบท จำนวน 6 คน โดยมี รองศาสตราจารย์ ดร.ธณัฏฐ์คุณ มงคลอัศวรัตน์ ผู้ช่วยอธิการบดี สถาบันบ้ณฑิตศึกษาจุฬาภรณ์ เป็นผู้แทนนำกล่าวคำขอขมาลาอุปสมบทพร้อมมอบพานธูปเทียนแพขอขมา แด่ผู้บริหาร จากนั้นผู้บริหารได้กล่าวอโหสิกรรม และกล่าวอนุโมทนาบุญกับผู้อุปสมบท ก่อนเดินทางไปร่วมโครงการบรรพชาอุปสมบทหมู่และปฏิบัติธรรมฯ เนื่องในโอกาสครบรอบ 10 ปี โรงพยาบาลจุฬาภรณ์ ณ สาธารณรัฐอินเดีย และสหพันธ์สาธารณรัฐประชาธิปไตยเนปาล ระหว่างวันที่ 15 – 23 กุมภาพันธ์ 2563
