On Friday 23 July 2021 at 3:30 PM, Chulabhorn Graduate Institute organized a traditional activity of “Offering a Buddhist Rain-retreat Candle in a Manner Free from COVID-19” at the Learning Center on the M level of the Chulabhorn Graduate Institute Building via Zoom, in compliance with the measures for the prevention of the spread of COVID-19. Five persons attended the Buddhist monks’ chanting ceremony, while 40 other persons participated in the online part of the activity.
Representing a new way of offering the Buddhist rain-retreat candle, the activity featured Phra Maha Chirathiwat Atthayutto (from Wat Lak Si, a monastery under the royal patronage), who presided over the Buddhist religious ceremony, and Associate Professor Dr. Thanatkun Mongolasavarat, Assistant Rector of Chulabhorn Graduate Institute, who chaired the ceremony of presenting rain-retreat candle and the four necessities of Buddhist monks to the monks taking part in the activity.
This activity was undertaken to fulfill the Institute’s art and culture promotion mission.
วันศุกร์ที่ 23 กรกฎาคม 2564 เวลา 15.30 น. สถาบันบัณฑิตศึกษาจุฬาภรณ์ จัด กิจกรรม “ถวายเทียนพรรษาวิถีใหม่ ห่างไกลโควิด” ณ ศูนย์การเรียนรู้ ชั้น M อาคาร สถาบันบัณฑิตศึกษาจุฬาภรณ์ ผ่านระบบ Zoom ภายใต้มาตรการป้องกันการแพร่ระบาดเชื้อโควิด -19 โดยมีผู้เข้าร่วมพิธีสงฆ์ จำนวน 5 คน และผู้เข้าร่วมกิจกรรมออนไลน์ผ่านระบบซูมอีกกว่า 40 คน
ทั้งนี้ กิจกรรมถวายเทียนพรรษาวิถีใหม่ประกอบด้วยประธานฝ่ายสงฆ์ พระมหาจิราธิวัฒน์ อตฺถยุตฺโต (วัดหลักสี่ พระอารามหลวง) โดย รองศาสตราจารย์ ดร.ธณัฏฐ์คุณ มงคลอัศวรัตน์ ผู้ช่วยอธิการบดี ได้ให้เกียรติเป็นประธานในพิธีถวายเทียนพรรษา และจตุปัจจัยไทยธรรม
กิจกรรมดังกล่าวจัดขึ้นเพื่อตอบสนองพันธกิจด้านการทำนุบำรุงศิลปวัฒนธรรมของสถาบันฯ
